A: Yes. When formulated and applied according to standards like AWWA C213 and certified to NSF/ANSI 61, FBE is completely non-toxic, does not leach chemicals, and is highly approved for direct contact with drinking water.
A: Pipes are supplied with precision-beveled ends and a factory bare steel cutback (50mm–100mm). This allows field welding without melting the coating. The welded joint is later protected using a field-applied liquid epoxy or a heat-shrinkable joint sleeve.
