A: Yes, absolutely. Our internal FBE lining formulations are fully certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and AWWA C213 standards. They contain zero heavy metals, VOCs, or toxic additives, ensuring that the transported water remains safe, tasteless, and odorless during municipal conveyance.
A: SSAW (Spiral Submerged Arc Welded) steel pipe is highly cost-effective for large diameters like 1016mm (40 inches). Unlike straight-seam pipes, spiral welding can produce large pipes from steel coils rather than plates, offering excellent dimensional roundness and uniform wall thickness. This is highly beneficial for alignment during field welding.
A: Pipes are delivered with precision-beveled ends and a factory bare steel cutback (50mm–100mm) on both the inside and outside. After field butt-welding and weld inspection, the joint is cleaned. Because a 1016mm (40-inch) diameter allows for internal access, pipeline crews (or specialized robotic joint-coaters) can enter the pipe to manually clean and apply matching liquid food-grade epoxy to the inner weld seam, while a heat-shrinkable sleeve or liquid FBE is applied to the outside.
