A: You should choose the φ54 Welded pipe when dealing with deeper pile foundations (typically exceeding 30-40 meters) or when the project consultant specifies a larger probe clearance. The φ54 size provides a wider internal margin, reducing the risk of a probe getting stuck due to minor verticality shifts during deep concrete pouring.
A: We offer Enlarged Socket Sleeves (bell ends) pre-welded to the pipe end, as well as Beveled Ends. The pre-welded socket-sleeve option allows the next pipe to slide easily into the pre-expanded end, maintaining alignment and creating a natural lap joint that welders can fuse quickly.
A: We use premium low-carbon steel (such as Q235B, ASTM A53 Grade A/B, or EN 10219 S235) with a low carbon equivalent (CEV). These grades provide excellent mechanical yield strength and outstanding weldability. The resulting joints easily resist the bending forces exerted by lateral concrete flow.
A: No, when standard welding practices are followed. For our socket-welded (sleeve) configurations, the weld is executed entirely on the outside lip of the expanded sleeve. The inner channel remains smooth and uncompromised by heat or slag, guaranteeing an unobstructed path for the ultrasonic probes.
A: Yes. We provide pre-welded watertight steel bottom plates to seal the base of the first pipe string. For the top of the tubes, we supply temporary plastic or steel caps to prevent concrete splashes, mud, or rainwater from entering the pipe during cage installation.
